Books To Help You Overcome Your Infertility
As many of my readers now, I am one of millions of women in the world affected by infertility. Earlier tonight while searching Amazon for free books I decided to look for free eBooks relating to infertility. I've only found one. However, I also found several books that look promising that aren't very expensive at all. Please click on the links below to check them out. They may hold the answers to your fertility questions. If you are a member of Amazon Prime then you can borrow many of these titles for free.
The Sperm Meets Egg Plan is a step-by-step guide to achieving pregnancy without taking invasive tests, charting temperatures, or making mistakes in predicting your ovulation that result in mistimed attempts at fertilization.
Designed by Deanna Roy after months of trying made her believe she had a fertility problem, the plan will help you time intercourse whether you have a typical or atypical cycle. It includes adjustments for common fertility problems, what to do if you are over forty, and considerations for trying again after a pregnancy loss.
This booklet includes 40 pages of instruction plus a 10-page sneak peek of Deanna's book Baby Dust. It should be a free download.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder that affects women and between 5-10% of all women have this condition. The cause of why PCOS develops is basically unclear, however medical professionals believe it to be partially influenced by a condition called insulin resistance, hormone imbalance and even genetics. A well balanced diet plan designed to manage insulin resistance and PCOS needs to consist of all the essential nutrients you would expect in any good basic plan. This is sometimes a hard task to plan meals trying to cover all the bases but diets don't need to be difficult to maintain. Even harder is following a different diet than your family and preparing separate meals than everyone else is eating. This complicated domestic situation can be expensive, inconvenient and often is the reason people quit trying a particular eating plan. Take heart though, even a very general knowledge of the body and what impact certain foods have on it can clearly illustrate how even small changes can reduce your PCOS symptoms.
Worried about your ability to have children in the next five years? Have you been trying to get pregnant for a while now and it’s just not happening? Does it seem like every woman you know is having a hard time getting pregnant and you don’t want that to be you when you’re ready?
If you answered yes to any one of these questions, Aimee’s second book, Yes, You Can Get Pregnant: The Diet That Will Improve Your Fertility Now & Into Your 40’s, was written for you.
Whether you’re in your 20’s, 30’s or 40’s, this book will give you all the nutritional information you need to keep your baby-making machinery in tip-top shape.
BEARING THE UNBEARABLE wrestles with two of life's most painful realities, the loss or diminishment of hope and the inability of human beings to fulfill their vocation, potential, and dreams. We will focus on perhaps the most poignant cause of this, infertility, but our discussion will include other major obstacles to fulfillment. There is an innate link between the futility of procreative and potential fulfillment efforts. We will integrate western civilization's most famous infertility stories, those from the Bible, and particularly the Old Testament, with contemporary stories and your own.
This book provides resources and options for any couple struggling with infertility. Dr. Khatamee, a world-renowned infertility specialist, presents numerous case studies, discusses the most current tests available, what each entails and when testing should commence. The prevention of infertility and preservation of fertility are addressed. Adoption may be the right choice for you and information and resources are provided should you choose this option.
Every couple deserves the best in fertility care. That’s the premise of the book DOCTOR, ARE YOU LISTENING? (A Couple’s Struggle to Find the Right Infertility Doctor). The book is co-authored by Linda Perelman Pohl and Dr. Masood Khatamee. It follows Linda and her husband, Stuart, in their quest to become parents. For many years, they saw doctor after doctor who "claimed" to be infertility experts, but, sadly, were not.
Yoga and Fertility: A Journey to Health and Healing: is for those who have never done yoga before, as well as those with yoga experience, or who are currently taking a yoga class. Personal stories are woven into the text, so that women can relate to the author and others who have struggled with fertility challenges. The book includes suggestions for friends and family members to help them better understand the issues.

ProXeed Plus For Sperm Health Review
Over 1 in 8 couples in the United States is dealing with fertility issues. In up to 30% of these couples the problem lies with the quality of their spouses sperm. ProXeed Plus is a dietary supplement that men can take to help enhance the overall quality, count and motility of their sperm.
ProXeed Plus is a lemon-flavored powder supplement that you simply dissolve into your favorite cold beverage twice a day. For maximum benefits this supplement should be taken twice a day for six months. Affects in the quality of a man's sperm can be seen in as little as three months.
We have been trying to conceive for 16 years. After taking this supplement for 15 days, we were still not pregnant. However, that doesn't say anything for or against this product. I believe we have bigger issues than his sperm count. Hopefully, soon we'll have health insurance so we can start getting more in-depth testing done.
If you have been trying to conceive for a year or more then you definitely need to see a doctor. While I believe this product to be completely safe, always check with your doctor before starting any new supplement.
If you believe that sperm quality may be a problem for you then just click here to order a 15-day supply of ProXeed Plus today.

Conceive Easy! Everything You Need To Start Your Journey Towards Becoming A Mom
My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for years! While we're waiting for our health insurance coverage to show up, I'll try anything! Magic, spells, potions, creams, herbs, supplements, voodoo, hoodoo, just about anything lol Thankfully though there are real products that can help.
Here is a photo of the TTC kit I received from ConceiveEasy. Each kit contains:
- Getting Started TTC Kit Guide
- ConceiveEasy 2 month starter pack
- Digital Basal Thermometer
- 20 pregnancy test or ovulation strips
I chose the ovulation strips, but they were kind enough to send me 40 ovulation strips and 10 pregnancy strips as well. The supplements are a two month supply. Which is nice since most other supplement programs have several different pills to take each month. With ConceiveEasy there's only one pill each month! I have to add that the test strips included in this kit are a definite value! They have saved me a lot of money over the last couple of months. While I haven't had to use one of the pregnancy tests, I use the ovulation strips each and every month. This kit retails for $39.95. However, you can try it for 30 days absolutely free. Check out their website for more information.
According to their website:
ConceiveEasy is a natural aid that boosts the body’s fertility level by stimulating ovulation and effectively overcoming the seven most common causes of infertility. The formula has been clinically tested and those using ConceiveEasy showed an increased pregnancy rate of 33 percent. The kit assists women in increasing their fertility rate in just 28 days with no unpleasant side effects or dangerous fertility drugs.
Unfortunately, this product didn't work for us. That's not saying it won't work for you though. They did help me to feel better and my cramps having been as bad lately. That's always good :)
Want to learn more about ConceiveEasy and their great TTC system? Then just visit their website today for more information and tips to help you get pregnant fast!
I received this product free in exchange for my honest review. No money was exchanged.

Aid Your Pregnancy Journey With FertilAid
A few months ago I was given the opportunity to review a few different fertility products. The picture above is the package I received from Fairhaven Health. This review is long overdue. In my defense, this is a very difficult topic for me to discuss. I have a tendency to push things like this to the background. My apologies to all my readers as well as to Fairhaven Health for the delay.
Unfortunately, I still haven't been able to get pregnant so I can't say that taking any of the products above will help you. Fertility is a very, very complicated thing. It's very possible that I could have a different problem that these products can in no way help me.
Now that all that stuff is out of the way, on with the review :) The kit that Fairhaven Health sent to me contained a one month supply of FertilAid for Women, FertilDetox and FertilCM. Plus it also include a SpermCheck test kit.
I took all the pills above as prescribed and I have to say I really felt great afterwards. I already take a multivitamin, but 1800 mgs of calcium each day, so to add something that actually made me feel even better was a surprise. I found that after about a week or so I had more energy than I did before. At the time I was also having other lingering issues from a previous medication and I believe that the FertilCM was able to help my body get back to normal. These supplements range from $19.95 to $34.95 for a months supply.
Perhaps the most truly helpful item for us was the SpermCheck test. This test costs $39.95 and can be taken at home. The instructions are a bit involved so you'll want to make sure you read them over a few times before you take it. It cost us over $80 to have this test performed by our doctor. While this doesn't guarantee that you doctor won't want a test from the lab anyways, for people just starting out this can help. If you have any reason to believe that the problems you're having could be due to a low sperm count then I would recommend taking this test. I do want to add that on both tests my husband had excellent counts. The lab results were more precise, but I believe that's to be expected.
Here's a tip: Insurance doesn't always cover fertility treatments. However, if you take this test and it shows that your significant other has a low count then have him go to the doctor. Most insurance companies will cover his treatment by urologist.

Guest Post: Surrogacy Vs. Adoption - Weighing the Options
When it comes to having a child, I know I am making the biggest decisions I will ever make. That is why I want to do things right and weigh all of my options. Adoption and surrogacy are both choices that are viable for building my family. I just need to decide which of the two options is right for me.
In adoption, we would assume the parental role for a child who has been genetically created by other people. We would not have biological connections to that child, but we would raise him or her as our own.
In a surrogacy situation, another woman would carry our child, who may be able to have biological connections to us. Not all surrogacies work out that way, however, and biological connections can still vary.
Either way, I would end up with a child who would legally be my own and that is the important bottom line. Here are some things I am considering in terms of differences between the two.
-Money
Adoption is usually more cost effective than surrogacy. Surrogacy can be tens of thousands of dollars while most adoptions cost half or even less of a surrogacy process. With an adoption, I would only have to pay for the court expenses and a few other things. With a surrogate, I would have to pay health fees, administrative fees and a number of other items.
-Legalities
Surrogacy has a lot of complicated laws attached to it and those laws vary from state to state. Adoption has a variety of laws as well, but since more people go through the process, they are more set in stone.
-Options
While I would get to choose a surrogate, I would not have too many other choices in that process. With adoption, I could choose not only from where to adopt a child, but what age range I think I would enjoy. I could choose to adopt a child from another country as well. I also get to think about things like the relationship the child might have with his or her biological parents. I could choose to have no contact at all or I might want to have a more open visitation between the families. Since I know that having a child is one of the most important aspects of my family's future, I want to make the right decisions. All of these options are valid and my ultimate decision will depend on the direction my opinion falls on each issue.

Infertility Sucks!
When you first decide that you want to have a baby you fully expect to be decorating rooms in a few months, and bouncing your new baby in a year or so. As the months continue to drag by with no pregnancy things begin to look bad. Everyone has heard of people that have trouble trying to conceive (ttc), but none of us are ever prepared for the realities of what it's like when it happens to you.
The longer it takes to conceive the harder it is. Personally, we've been trying to have a child for over almost 15 years now. I've had some testing done in the past and was diagnosed with "unexplained infertility." Basically, they know there is something wrong, but haven't got a clue as to what it would be.
For a few years I had a pretty decent job with absolutely fantastic health insurance. I didn't even realize how good it was until I didn't work there anymore. It was during this time that I had some of the testing done, but since the doctor I spoke with absolutely terrified me with tales of how expensive and invasive IVF was we didn't pursue the matter any further at the time. Instead I choose to work on things like our debt, credit, savings, etc. While that might have seemed like a good idea, looking back it was a huge mistake.
The biggest mistake was listening to a doctor that obviously had no real concern for me, my health, or even my state of mind. I remember hiding in my bedroom crying for the next couple of days. Called in sick to work and just hid. I should've walked out of the office and made another appointment on the spot with another doctor.
Now it's almost 10 years after that incident, I'm 37 years old, and running out of time. Many people hate it when I say that, but it's true. A woman's body only works this way for so long. Also, many IVF centers around the world won't treat women over the age of 40 due to the low chances of success. We're also paying for everything out of pocket since our current health insurance doesn't cover infertility treatments. Since it's been so long since I've seen a doctor for this there are quite a few that I have to repeat. For the two tests I need it's gonna be about $1k. That's not exactly chump change. :(
Fortunately I've been able to come up with the money to pay for my husband's semen analysis (SA) and my hysterosalpingogram (HSG). His test will measure many sperm he's producing, plus if they are active and mobile, or lazy little suckers. Mine will check my tubes for any blockage. We should be taking these tests sometime next week.
At this point I don't really know what's going to happen next. I'm sure at some point we will be considering IVF. I've already done my 6 months of clomid and that didn't do anything except screw up my moods.
We have looked into adoption, and we don't qualify. So that's out of the question. I don't really think I could handle being a foster parent. It's a great thing to do, but I don't know if I'd ever be able to let a child go. So it's the natural way (or as close to natural as possible) or nothing at all.
In the future I will try to update my blog to let everyone know what's going on. This is a personal topic and difficult for me to discuss. So if don't be surprised if my posting about this sporadic. Some days are better than others.
I have created a site where people can send donations to help us with this if they choose. I really don't expect any help from anyone, but I know others have done this and had some success so I figured why not :)
