EatGreenTea Edible Whole Leaf Tea Review

Recently I was given an opportunity to try out EatGreenTea.com edible whole leaf tea. I love tea! There are always quite a few boxes of different teas kicking around in my house lol The idea of eating it though, that didn't sound very appealing. However, I was pleasantly surprised. To use this product you simply add one packet of edible whole leaf tea to whatever your eating. It's ok with just water, but I preferred adding to my breakfast smoothies. 

I also tried the mashed potato recipe available at EatGreenTea.com. This was mostly just my way of getting my husband to try it without having to ask him. He can be picky about his food sometimes lol They were really good and the tea gave it a nice flavor. 

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 45 minutes
Yield: 6 serving

Ingredients:

2 lbs potatoes
1 head roasted garlic
Olive Oil
1/2 Tbsp edible organic green tea leaves finely chopped
Salt to taste
Ground White Pepper to taste
Heavy Whipping Cream

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Cut off top of garlic head and place in small roasting pan, pour olive over garlic and roast in oven do not dry out.
Peel, wash and dice potatoes.   Place in cold water while cutting the potatoes.
Boil diced large potatoes to fork tender.
In a blender add boiled potatoes, salt, pepper, roasted garlic,edible organic green tea leaves and a ¼ cup heavy whipping cream, add more heavy cream if too stiff.

McDonald's McWraps Are Tasty Treat!

Recently I was given a chance to review the new Premium McWraps from McDonald's. My husband is a shift manager at our local store and he had already tried them. He said that he loved them so I decided to give them a shot. McDonald's in Maine was also running a promotion that if you could get a free medium soda and small fry with the purchase of the McWrap. 

It took me a few days after getting my coupons before I had the time to actually try one. Since I had my coupons I got one of each. :) The actual package that they come is 9-inches long. The tortilla is very large. This makes the McWraps much bigger than the snack wraps they offer. As you can see from the picture above, it's definitely a handful. I'm sure that some people would be able to eat this while driving, but not me. I brought mine home to eat. 

A few months ago I discovered that I have a gluten intolerance. So I really can't eat a lot of anything that is made from flour. Once I got home I opened them up and ate them that way. They did have quite a bit of filling. Sometimes wraps this size are can be mostly the tortilla it's made with. Thankfully this wasn't the case. 

The first one I tried was the Sweet Chili McWrap. It had a nice little tangy to it. Definitely not overpowering at all. Of course, I like spicy food and garlic. 

The Chicken Ranch was very nice and refreshing. If they made a salad like this I'd buy it all the time! 

My favorite though the Chicken Bacon. It had just the right amount of garlic to work perfectly with the bacon. There could have been more bacon, but then you really can't ever have enough bacon can you?  

You can choose from three different types of McWraps. They can also be made with either fried or grilled chicken. Personally, I choose grilled for all the McWraps I ordered. 

• Chicken Ranch: Lettuce, spring greens, tomato slices, cucumber slices, grated cheddar jack cheese, rice vinegar and buttermilk sauce.
• Sweet Chili: Lettuce, spring greens, and cucumber slices with a sweet chili and creamy garlic sauce. 
• Chicken Bacon: Lettuce, spring greens, tomato slices, grated cheddar jack cheese, hickory smoked bacon and a creamy garlic sauce. 

Any of these McWraps are a better nutritional choices than most of the items on the McDonald's menu. It's definitely a much better idea to choose the grilled chicken over the fried. That will save you 160 calories per McWrap. They do have pretty high level of sodium in them. The nutritional facts below can also be found on the McDonald's website. You can find information on all of the items on the McDonald's menu there. They also have a meal builder option that lets you compare different meals. 

• Chicken Ranch: Grilled - 430 calories, 16 gms fat, 1130 mg sodium;Crispy - 590 calories, 29 gms fat, 1300 mg sodium.
• Sweet Chili: Grilled - 360 calories, 9 gms fat, 1030 mg sodium; Crispy - 520 calories, 22 gms fat, 1200 sodium.
• Chicken Bacon: Grilled - 440 calories, 16 gms fat, 1250 sodium; Crispy - 600 calories, 30 gms fat, 1420 sodium.

Gotta Love Zebra Pens!!

The package I received contained nine pens, a mechanical pencil and a highlighter. It was also in this very nice binder with lots of space to add more pens to my collection. They also included an adorable little stuffed Zebra with the package. If I still had my old office job he would've been put on display on my desk! 

These pens are extremely comfortable to hold and are very easy to write with. Both my husband and I have taken one to work. We both work in fast food and are always looking for a pen. Soda Stream Review

One of my absolute favorite parts of blogging is being to get all kinds of new and fun things to test and review. I had heard all about this product from other bloggers and it made me really interested in trying this out. Everyone was raving about just how much they loved their SodaStream. My husband was laughing at just how excited I was to get this. 

The unit I received to test contained the unit, one bottle of carbonation, a sample package of 6 flavors, 3 bottles of sparkling water flavor, and 8 full size bottles of soda flavor, and one bottle to make the soda in. To set it up you simply take the top off the carbonation and place in the back of the unit. You fill the soda bottle with water to the fill line, screw into the front of the unit and hit the button on top to add the carbonation. My husband doesn't like as much carbonation in his soda as I do so it only takes about 3 squirts for his soda. I like a bit more so I use 4-5 squirts in my bottles of soda.

Thorne Manor: And Other Strange Tales Book Review

Thorne Manor: And Other Strange Tales is a fantastic book by Diane Wing. This book has seven short stories in it. "Thorne Manor" is by far my absolute favorite. The stories heroine Heather is a recently divorced woman looking to make her own in the world. She decides to purchase a large mansion, using it to open her business. The house happens to be haunted, but that's just part of the story. I truly hope that she decides to write a sequel to this one. I really want to know what happens to characters next! 

The rest of the stories are considerably shorter, but still just as good. My favorite out of the short stories was "Guardian at the Gate." This is a great quick little read.  This tells the tale of a demon that is decides to come to our plane and take it over. Things don't go quite as he planned. 

Another favorite is "the Black Sheep."  This the story of a young clairvoyant girl that decides to start listening to a new spirit. The young girl in this story is really seeking validation in a world that believes she's crazy. What she finds isn't exactly the type of validation that she was looking for. This is another story that I hope Ms. Wing decides to expand on. Again I would really to know what happens to this girl next. 

This is the second book that I've read by Ms. Wing and have to say that I love her writing and would highly recommend her books to anyone!

Anytime Costumes Men's Costume Review

Recently I was given the opportunity to review a men's costume from Anytimecostumes.com. Since I'm not a man, my wonderful husband was my guinea pig :) I was given the choice of costume's and picked the Roman Senator costume for my husband. Here he is in his new costume :) Doesn't he look adorable! 

I was very happy with outfit. This is made from a high quality material and is well worth the asking price. We ordered an XL, but I think it would have fit my husband better if they had a larger size. Unfortunately, XL is as big as they get. This costume retails for $34.99 right now on their website. My Review Of A Hilarious Golf T-Shirt!

Recently I was awarded the chance to review this neat golf shirt. Personally, I'm not much of a golf fan, but I have to say this is a very cute t-shirt! Even my husband likes it. He hates golf with a passion! lol 

These shirts are very high quality, and very affordable. This is the only style they had available for review, but they have many different awesome golf shirts available to purchase. They are made from 100% preshrunk cotton and are very thick. It's not like the t-shirts I normally find in the store. I actually expect this to last a very long time with the proper care. 


Overall, I'm very happy with this t-shirt. I'm actually considering picking up a few for Christmas gifts this year for the golf addicts in the family. Anyone that enjoys silly golf shirts will love getting one of these!

This is one of the yummiest reviews I've done! I was so excited to get my box of chips from Food Should Taste So Good. In case you aren’t familiar with their product they're all natural chips are made from real, simple ingredients. All of their chip varieties are free of cholesterol, preservatives and trans fat, and do not use genetically modified ingredients (GMOs). They are also certified Kosher and Gluten Free, lower in sodium, and are a good source of dietary fiber. They currently have 15 flavors in their 5.5oz line: Multigrain, Sweet Potato, Olive, Jalapeño, Lime, Cantina, The Works!, Chocolate, Blue Corn, Cheddar, White Cheddar, Toasted Sesame, Hemp, Jalapeño with Cheddar, and Kettle Corn. The Jalapeño with Cheddar were the overall favorite. They were packed full of flavor and there was definite jalapeño which we loved. I had to hide the bag to make sure I got a serving or two out of it. I think if I left it out, it would have been gone in one sitting.

The Blue Corn was delicious also. Excellent both by itself and with salsa. Very tasty and the munchkins thought it was so cool that they had square blue chips.

This was the most unexpected flavor. I love Salt & Vinegar chips normally. They're my favorite flavor. The Salt & Vinegar with the sweet potato gave a sweet and vinegary taste that was delicious. I was the only one who really ate these, but I usually get my Salt & Vinegar to myself ;)

Everyone liked the chocolate. I wasn't that fond of it until I added peanut butter! Yes, I dipped my chips and peanut butter and it tasted fantastic.

This tied with the Salt & Vinegar as my second favorite. It has that great "sweet kettle" taste. I even ate them as dessert after dinner one night.
